    NEW YORK (AP) — Police say a daughter of the Rev. Al Sharpton has been arrested after a taxi driver accused her of snatching his car keys and tossing them away.
    Police say Ashley Sharpton has been released on an appearance ticket after her arrest around 3:30 a.m. Saturday. The 30-year-old was arrested on charges including petit larceny.

  • Police Search For Elderly Man Suffering From Hypertension

    BALTIMORE (WJZ)– City police are searching for a 71-year-old man who suffers from hypertension.
    Detectives say Richard Deas was last seen on Monday around 10:30 p.m. in the 200 block of North Washington Street.
    Deas is 5-feet-10 inches tall and weighs 138 pounds and was last seen wearing red shorts and a white sleeveless t-shirt.
    Anyone who knows the whereabouts of Deas is asked to call police at 443-984-7385 or call 911.

  • 1 Dead In Car Wreck In Carroll County

    UNION BRIDGE, Md. (AP) — A 19-year-old man was killed in a car wreck in Carroll County.
    State police say the victim, a 19-year-old man who has not yet been identified, was driving a tractor trailer southbound on Maryland Route 75 near Clemsonville Road at around 8 a.m. on Saturday when he crossed the yellow line and drove off the road. The tractor trailer then rolled onto its side and struck a telephone pole. Police say the driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

    BALTIMORE (AP) — Baltimore could surpass New York City in homicides this year.
    The Baltimore Sun reports that for the first time Baltimore, with a population of less than 620,000, could record more murders in a single year than New York, which has a population of 8.5 million.
    As of Sept. 3, Baltimore has recorded 238 homicides, while New York City has seen 182 murders. That breaks down to roughly 50 killings per 100,000 people in Baltimore, and just 3.9 killings per 100,000 peopl

    BALTIMORE (WJZ)– City police arrested a 22-year-old man after recovering a gun, suspected marijuana and cash.
    Friday, officers were conducting drug surveillance in the area of the 1400 block of East Preston Street, when they initiated an investigation leading to the arrest of Granville Lee.
