    HONOLULU (AP) — A magnitude 4.1 earthquake hit off the coast of the Big Island of Hawaii.
    The U.S. Geological Survey’s Hawaii Volcano Observatory says the earthquake struck at 8:35 p.m. Friday about 66 miles (107 kilometers) northeast of the town of Hawaiian Beaches on the island’s east coast.

    EPPING, N.H. (AP) — A New Hampshire woman who became stuck in a swimming pool after the ladder broke turned to Facebook to ask for help getting out.
    Sixty-one-year-old Leslie Kahn was swimming in her pool Aug. 11 when the ladder broke, leaving her stranded. She said she didn’t have the strength to pull herself. No one else was home and her cellphone was inside.

    KISSIMMEE, Fla. (AP) — Authorities in Florida say a second officer has died, a day after he and a colleague were shot during a scuffle with a suspect.
    The Kissimmee Police Department says Sgt. Sam Howard died Saturday from his injuries.

    Police say the incident happened in the 7800 block of Liberty Rd.
    Responding officers found a victim with several stab wounds. The victim was taken to a hospital, and his condition is unknown at this time.
