    BALTIMORE (WJZ) — A 51-year-old volunteer firefighter who was working as a tow truck driver was struck and killed along I-95 after responding to help another vehicle.
    The death of Brian Williams was news that rocked the entire Perryville community. It’s the second time in just four years that one of their own firefighters was killed by another driver.

    The wreck happened just before 5 p.m., between two vehicles near Fort Smallwood Rd. and Marley Neck Rd.
    Crews were working to get at least one person extricated from one of the vehicles, while at least one other person was taken from the scene by ambulance.

    According to a report from Advertising Age, Pfizer, the makers of erectile dysfunction products Viagra and Cialis, will not be buying advertising time on NFL games for this upcoming season.
    Both products will be available as generic drugs in the near future, so Pfizer no longer appears willing to promote the products as name brands.
    The NFL will lose about $50 million.

    NEW YORK (AP) — Sheila Michaels, a feminist and civil-rights activist in the 1960s who has been credited with popularizing the courtesy title “Ms.,” died June 22 in New York of leukemia. She was 78.
    Rabbi Sharon Kleinbaum of New York City’s Congregation Beit Simchat Torah was at Michaels’ bedside when she died. Michaels had been suffering from leukemia.

    City Getting $2 Million For ‘Sobering Center’
    BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Our media partner The Baltimore Sun reports the city will get $2 million to open a 24-hour “sobering center” to help treat people with drug addiction.
    It comes as an announcement from the Governor’s Office of Crime Control & Prevention, with $22 million dollars being distributed throughout the state, as part of funding committed by Governor Hogan to fight the opioid epidemic, as well as the federal government’s 21st Century Cures Act.

    Driver Who Drove Into Home Cited With Negligence
    BALTIMORE (WJZ)– A driver has been cited for negligent driving and failure to reduce speed to avoid a collision after driving into a home on July 4.
    Aberdeen Police say at 11:19 p.m. on July 4, they were called to the 900 block of Edmund Street after a car drove into a home and pinned a 16-year-old boy who was sleeping on a couch in the home.
