    BELLEVILLE, Mo. (AP) — A southern Illinois man accused of stomping a kitten to death because he wasn’t allowed to take it on a light rail train has been charged with felony animal cruelty.
    The suspect, 23-year-old DeCarlos Johnson-Foston, is jailed on $75,000 bond.

  • London Police Plead For Calm After Attack At Mosque

    LONDON (AP) — London police, already stretched by a series of major incidents around the capital, are putting more officers on the street to reassure the public after a driver plowed into a crowd of people leaving a mosque early Monday. One man died at the scene and 10 people were injured.
    Police say a suspect was arrested immediately after the attack, which is being treated as a terrorist incident.

    Initially, Baltimore police said the boy was shot Sunday afternoon and taken to a hospital for treatment. But police now say medical personnel concluded that what detectives thought was a graze wound on the boy’s shin was actually caused by eczema.

    Halethorpe Dad Grieves Over Loss Of Son Killed On Navy Destroyer
    BALTIMORE (WJZ) — The U.S. Navy has identified seven sailors killed on a U.S. Naval destroyer off the coast of Japan, one of them is from Baltimore County.
    The Navy has identified 24-year-old Personnel Specialist, First Class, Xavier Alec Martin from Halethorpe as one of the sailors who was killed.
    The U.S.S. Fitzgerald collided with a cargo ship late last week. The sailors were missing after the crash and late last night their bodies were found inside the wreckage of the destroyer.

    Baltimore Police: 10-Year-Old Boy Shot In Leg
    BALTIMORE (AP) — Police say a 10-year-old boy was shot in the leg in east Baltimore.
    Police said the boy was shot Sunday afternoon and was taken to a hospital for treatment.
    A passenger in an SUV shot at a group of adults, police said. A crowd scattered after the shots were fired, and the boy realized he’d been shot.
