    Ex-Maryland County Exec To Be Released From Federal Custody
    UPPER MARLBORO, Md. (AP) — A former county executive in Maryland who pleaded guilty following a public corruption probe is scheduled to be released from federal custody after serving more than five years.
    The Washington Post reports Prince George’s county executive Jack Johnson is scheduled to be released this coming week. The paper reports the 68-year-old is on home confinement after being moved from a prison in Cumberland to a halfway house in Baltimore in December.

    BALTIMORE (AP) — Baltimore’s top prosecutor says her office will host a series of events throughout the summer in the hopes of providing an outlet for young people.
    Baltimore State’s Attorney Marilyn J. Mosby announced the events Friday during an anti-violence event at Mondawmin Mall. Mosby says the events will occur every Friday night for the next 11 weeks. She says the events will include skating, basketball and night swimming.

    BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Baltimore Police say they’re investigating two homicides from early Saturday morning.
    Police say at around midnight on June 3, police were called to the 1800 block of Rutland Avenue for a reported shooting. Officers who arrived on the scene say they found a 24-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds.

    LAUREL, Md. (WJZ) — Police are investigating an overturned tractor trailer on I-95 southbound at exit 35A MD 216 at southbound Scaggsville Rd in Howard County.Two vehicles were reportedly involved. There have been no reports of injuries.

    BALTIMORE (WJZ)– City police arrested a 16-year-old boy after he injured an officer with a stolen SUV Thursday.
    At about 1:35 a.m. police say five males exited a black Cadillac SUV and robbed several victims in the 3200 block of Lawnview Avenue.
    As detectives were investigating the robbery, they learned the SUV was stolen from Baltimore County.
