    BALTIMORE (AP) — Marco Estrada matched his career high with 12 strikeouts, Devon Travis hit a three-run homer and the Toronto Blue Jays beat the sloppy Baltimore Orioles 3-1 Sunday to avoid a three-game sweep.
    Travis connected in the first inning off Wade Miley (1-2) following a two-out error and a single. Those three unearned runs turned out to be enough to provide last-place Toronto with its second win in nine games against the Orioles this season.

    BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Police have arrested a suspect in connection with a fatal stabbing early Sunday morning in Wicomico County.
    Latoya B. Elzey, 26, faces charges of first-degree murder, second-degree murder, first and second-degree assault, and reckless endangerment.
    Maryland State Police reports Elzey was arrested in the death of 41-year-old Migail B. Hunter, whose body is being sent to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore for autopsy.

    BRYAN, Texas (AP) — Police in Texas have arrested two people for allegedly stealing a hearse from outside a fast-food restaurant and dumping a body that was inside.
    Bryan police say the hearse was recovered Friday a few hours after the driver stopped at a restaurant and left the hearse unattended. The body and the gurney it was on were dumped along a rural road a few miles from the restaurant.

    BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Gervonta Davis retains his International Boxing Federation junior lightweight title after defeating Liam Walsh with a third-round TKO in London.
    This was Davis’ first title defense, and the Baltimore native remained undefeated (19-0, 18 KOs) with Saturday’s win.

    PLYMOUTH, Minn. (AP) — A Minnesota woman who survived the Holocaust received her high school diploma more than seven decades after the Nazis robbed her of the privilege.

    ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) — The Pentagon has refused a long-standing request to add the names of 74 U.S. sailors who died in a 1969 ship collision to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C.
    The USS Frank E. Evans was participating in a nighttime training exercise in the South China Sea when it turned into the path of an Australian aircraft carrier and was split in half. The World War II-era destroyer’s stern section stayed afloat while the bow section sank.

    The 13-1 long shot was one of five fresh horses in the race that didn’t run two weeks ago in the Kentucky Derby.
