    BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Two people are dead and a toddler with critical injuries was airlifted from the scene after an accident on Route 50 near Route 2/Exit 27 in Anne Arundel County Wednesday.
    Authorities say 22-year-old Laura Ashley Murphy of Salisbury and her 14-month-old son were in a black 2017 Volkswagen Tiguan heading westbound in the eastbound lanes of Route 50, when Murphy’s vehicle crashed head-on with a silver 2016 Mercedes SUV.

    (AP) – According to his representative, rocker Chris Cornell, who gained fame as the lead singer of Soundgarden and later Audioslave, has died at age 52.In a statement to The Associated Press, Brian Bumbery says Cornell died Wednesday night in Detroit.
    Bumbery called the death “sudden and unexpected” and said his wife and family were shocked by it. The statement said the family would be working closely with the medical examiner to determine the cause and asked for privacy.
