    EAST LIVERPOOL, Ohio (AP) — Police say an Ohio officer suffered an accidental overdose after a drug arrest when he touched powder on his shirt without realizing it was the powerful opioid fentanyl.He was treated with an overdose reversal drug after brushing off the powder with his hand and passing out Friday in East Liverpool, roughly 85 miles (137 kilometers) southeast of Cleveland near the Pennsylvania line.

    Man Convicted To Life In Prison For Attempted Murder Of City Officer
    BALTIMORE (WJZ) — On Monday, a Baltimore man convicted of the attempted murder of a Baltimore City Police officer learned his fate.
    A judge sentenced Gregg Thomas to life in prison plus 35 years.
    Thomas was convicted of attempted first-degree murder of Baltimore Police Sergeant Keith McNeill.
    Police say Thomas ambushed the police sergeant as he sat in his car in the spring of 2014 – shooting him multiple times.

    BALTIMORE (WJZ) — The Baltimore City council voted to legalize the use of stun guns and tasers.
    The bill allows city residents to own and use the devices for self-defense — with some restrictions.
    This comes after people in Baltimore County, Howard County, and Baltimore City filed a federal lawsuit challenging stun gun bans.
    Both Howard County and Baltimore County also voted to lift their bans.

    BALTIMORE (WJZ) — This year’s second leg of the horse racing Triple Crown comes after a report estimating Pimlico racing facility needs hundreds of millions of dollars in renovations.
    Pat Warren reports, the debate is over who would pay for it.
    After a century of running in Baltimore, it just wouldn’t feel like the Preakness if it at Pimlico, but track owners may consider moving the race to Laurel in Prince George’s County.
