    BALTIMORE (WJZ)– He’s taken center field in front of 40,000 plus baseball fans, but former Baltimore Oriole third baseman Melvin Mora, said he was more nervous in a room of just 100 people as he took a big step Wednesday.
    Mora, who has called Baltimore home for 17 years, started his family in Charm City. Wednesday, his six children and wife, watched him as he became a citizen at the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.

    BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Police have arrested a 24-year-old man in connection with a 2015 murder in Baltimore.
    Antonio Melvin has been charged with first-degree murder and four counts of first-degree attempted murder in the death of Darrell Alston.

    SHREWSBURY, Pa. (AP) — Police have charged a Maryland man with having oral sex in the dining room of a Pennsylvania McDonald’s but say they’re still searching for his female companion.
    Shrewsbury Township police on Monday charged 30-year-old Conrad Jablecki for the incident back on March 3.
    Police say an employee caught the couple in the act and kicked them out of the restaurant shortly after 1 p.m. that day.

    BALTIMORE (WJZ) – A teenager has been charged in connection to a shooting in Baltimore City.
    Police say 16-year-old Staffon Spencer was arrested for shooting a 19-year-old male in the arm after a fight on May 8, 2017 in the 600 block of Laurens Street. The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment.
    Spencer was arrested on Tuesday and taken to Central Booking where he has been charged as an adult for attempted first degree murder.

    BALTIMORE (WJZ) – Charles County Police are investigating an animal cruelty case in La Plata.
    A cat was found by it’s owner visibly injured, and at first thought to be hit by a car. When the owner took the cat to the emergency animal clinic, doctors discovered it had been shot with a high-powered pellet gun.
    The cat’s leg was shattered and eventually needed to be amputated. The cat, named Maximus, is still being treated at the clinic.
