    CHEVERLY, Md. (AP) — Officials at a Maryland hospital are preparing to reopen an intensive care unit for newborns that was closed last year after the discovery of a potentially deadly bacteria.
    The neonatal intensive care unit at Prince George’s Hospital Center is scheduled to reopen Monday after an investigation involving state and federal public health officials.

    A five-part sale of the D. Brent Pogue coin collection that ended Friday netted a total of almost $106.7 million.
    The five auction events were held over the past two years by Stack’s Bowers Galleries of Santa Ana, California, in conjunction with Sotheby’s in Baltimore.

    GREENBELT, Md. (AP) — Authorities say University of Maryland students found a body in a local lake while cleaning up the areas as part of a community service effort.
    The Maryland-National Capitol Park Police say the students found the body in Lake Artemisia about 9:30 a.m. Saturday near Indian Creek.
    No other details were immediately available.

    BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Baltimore’s own spice legend McCormick says it plans to do away with the familiar Old Bay and black pepper metal cans, in favor of more environmentally-friendly plastic packaging.
    Our media partner The Baltimore Sun reports that the Sparks-based spice and flavorings maker handed out samples of those products in new plastic cans Wednesday during the company’s annual shareholder meeting.
    The new containers will be rolled out in stores nationwide by late summer.
