    WASHINGTON (AP) — The National Park Service is concerned about the impact of cold weather on Washington’s famous cherry blossoms.National Park Service spokesman Mike Litterst says that the snow Monday into Tuesday didn’t appear to do damage, but upcoming cold temperatures are concerning. Litterst says that if the temperature gets down to 24 degrees there could be a 90 percent loss of blossoms that were expected to be at their peak in about a week.

    The bill is scheduled to have a hearing on Tuesday. It’s sponsored by a Maryland Republican, Del. Mike McKay, of western Maryland.

    BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Due to changing conditions, the Winter Storm Warning/Winter Weather Advisory line that divides Maryland during this late-winter storm has shifted.
    A Winter Storm Warning, once issued for much of central Maryland, is still in effect until 2 p.m. Tuesday but now only covers the northern parts of Baltimore and Harford counties, plus Cecil County, Carroll County, Frederick County, Washington County and all of western Maryland.

    ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) — The Maryland Senate is scheduled to vote on a measure to allow workers at companies with 15 or more employees to earn paid sick leave.The Senate is set to vote on the bill Tuesday.
