(AP) — When Bonnita Spikes, of Prince George’s County, learned her Alzheimer’s medication’s price had skyrocketed to $500, she was no longer able to afford the essential medicine.Diagnosed in 2013, Spikes quit her job after she determined her condition had progressed to the point where she was no longer able to fulfill her duties, leaving her without insurance or the ability to pay the soaring drugs’ costs.

    BALTIMORE (WJZ)– Howard County police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a woman who is believed to have stole from a jewelry store.
    Police say the woman is a part of an ongoing investigation into a theft from Pandora at the Columbia Mall.

    BALTIMORE (WJZ)– Deputies from the Harford County Sheriff’s Office were called to the 1400 block of East Banavie Terrace for the report of a suspicious incident.
    When officers arrived, they met with a resident of the Fountain Glen neighborhood and saw several fliers that contained white supremacy literature.
    It is believed the material was placed early Wednesday morning.  The neighborhood was searched but no suspects or witnesses were located.

    Baltimore School Police Officer Acquitted in Slapping Incident
    BALTIMORE (WJZ)– A Baltimore school police officer was acquitted Wednesday on charges that she was complicit in the slapping of a student that was caught on tape, according to the Baltimore Sun.
    Saverna Bias, 53, was found not guilty of second-degree assault and misconduct in office for the March 2016 incident at the REACH Partnership School, in which another officer was captured on cell phone video striking a then-16-year-old student who the officers believed to be trespassing.
