    BALTIMORE (WJZ)– The National Zoo said Wednesday, Bao Bao, the zoo’s giant female panda, is preparing for her departure to China.
    Bao Bao was born at the zoo on Aug. 23, 2014, and the first cub to survive birth since 2005 at the time.

    BALTIMORE (WJZ)- A man is seriously injured after being hit by a vehicle late Tuesday night in Silver Spring.
    Maryland State Police say just before 10 o’clock, the victim was driving eastbound I-495 when a wheel came off of his car and struck another vehicle. The two subjects involved got out and exchanged information. While waiting for a tow truck, the victim went to retrieve the wheel that came off of his car.     BALTIMORE (WJZ) – Former President George H.W. Bush has been hospitalized in Houston.
    CBS News reports that his office chief of staff told reporters that the former president is in Methodist Hospital in the Texas Medical Center.
    The 92-year old is said to be in stable condition and “doing fine” although the reason he was hospitalized has not yet been disclosed. The staff worker said Mr. Bush is expected to go home in a couple of days.
