• Wings of Rescue downsizes missions in Bksfd

  Wings of Rescue, the 501 C-3 who has saved over 1,700 animals in the Bakersfield community over the past three years, will be executing what may be their last flight, using the large metro-liner cargo plane, out of Bakersfield this Wednesday, March 18th when they fly 80 dogs to Washington State.  The flight will depart out of Meadows Field airport at 10am.

• State may issue tougher water restrictions Tuesday

  BAKERSFIELD, CA- The State Water Resources Control Board will consider much stricter water restrictions during a meeting on Tuesday.
  
  The restrictions would limit outdoor watering to twice a week.
  
  They would also put limits on the hospitality industry. Water would only be provided to customers in restaurants and bars when they ask for it. Hotels would be required to offer guests the option of not having towels and sheets washed everyday.
