    AUSTIN (KXAN) -- Officers from the Austin Police Department are on the scene of a SWAT call on South Lamar Boulevard near the intersection of Barton Springs Road.
    APD tweeted at 3:12 p.m. that officers were on the scene of the call in the 600 block of South Lamar Boulevard.
    Police told KXAN the call started as a theft call around 12:20 p.m., then the preliminary investigation led to a SWAT call.Police are asking the public to avoid the area.
