  AUSTIN (KXAN) — – The Texas Longhorns are back in the NCAA Basketball tournament after missing out last year.  Texas is the 10 seed in the South Regional and will face Nevada on Friday in Nashville, Tenn.
  The Longhorns are 19-14 with an 8-10 record in the Big 12.
  This is UT’s 34th appearance in the NCAA Tournament and 18th in the last 20 years.

  AUSTIN (KXAN) — One person died when their vehicle struck a fixed object in west Austin Sunday afternoon, said Austin-Travis County EMS.
  It happened at about 2:38 p.m. on North Capital of Texas Highway near Pascal Lane.
  That’s in the Rob Roy area of far west Austin.
  The Austin police and fire departments are also on scene.

  AUSTIN (KXAN) — A man in his 70s died when his car struck a metal pole in west Austin Sunday afternoon, said Austin-Travis County EMS and the Austin Police Department.
  It happened at about 2:38 p.m. on North Capital of Texas Highway near Pascal Lane. That’s in the Rob Roy area of far west Austin.

  AUSTIN (KXAN) — A serious vehicle crash in far north Austin sent three people to the hospital, said Austin-Travis County EMS.
  It happened at about 1:14 p.m. at Spectrum Drive and Parmer Lane, ATC EMS said.
