  AUSTIN (KXAN) — Let’s go fly a kite! Sunday’s the day — the ABC Kite Fest at Zilker Park!
  This is Austin’s 89th annual kite festival, and the event includes more than just kites.
  In addition to watching thousands of kites soar along the city skyline, festival goers will be able to enjoy local food and drinks, a kite contest, the MossFest Children’s Concert, and the Anteater Fun Run.

  AUSTIN (KXAN) –UPDATE: Organizers of the ABC Kite Fest announced Saturday night that the event will be delayed 1.5 hours Sunday morning.

• New racial profiling report shows Austin police more transparent

  AUSTIN (KXAN) –The Austin Police Department in a new racial profiling report says it’s taking steps to combat racial profiling and provide a more accurate reporting of racial profiling data.

• Officials apprehend 3 teens escaped from Georgetown juvenile detention center

  WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Texas (KXAN) — The Williamson County Sheriff’s office and other law enforcement agencies have located and apprehended 3 teenage boys who they say escaped from a juvenile detention center in Georgetown around 9:30 a.m. Saturday.

• Secret Service says man shoots himself outside White House

  WASHINGTON (AP) — The Secret Service says a man shot himself outside the White House, and medical personnel are on the scene.

• Authorities say man shoots himself to death near White House

  WASHINGTON (AP) — The Secret Service says a man shot himself to death Saturday as he stood near the fence along the north side of the White House.

• Police: Parents gunned down by their son on college campus

  AUSTIN (KXAN) — A spree of bank robberies spanning from December to February has been linked back to a 59-year-old Austin man.

• TxDOT says only 5 toll roads statewide subject to cap on fines
