• 4 die in Dallas-area house fire, victims include 2 children

    GARLAND, Texas (AP) — Investigators say four people from North Texas have died in a Dallas-area house fire that started on a patio.
    A Garland Fire Department statement says the bodies of two adults and two children were found early Saturday. Five other people in the home escaped.
    A neighbor across the street called 911 to report the fire shortly after 1 a.m. Saturday. Authorities traced the fire to an enclosed back patio and don’t believe the blaze was intentional.

    BUDA, Texas (KXAN)–Police in Buda are investigating after a pedestrian was hit by a car near Toll 45 and I-35.

    AUSTIN (KXAN)– One man is dead after being hit by a car on W. Slaughter Lane.
    Austin Police say they are investigating the incident which happened around 8:00 p.m at the intersection of W. Slaughter Lane and Palace Parkway. Police say the victim, a 40-year-old man, was crossing the street when he was struck.
