    AUSTIN (KXAN) — A woman was hit and killed by a vehicle near Rundberg Lane, Tuesday afternoon.
    Police say the driver did not stay at the scene.
    Austin-Travis County EMS said the woman was hit in the 1300 block of Quailfield Circle, near the intersection of Rundberg and Parkfield Drive. Medics were called to the scene at 4:28 p.m. and were performing CPR on the woman in her 60s, but she died at the scene.
    The street is residential and there are cars parked on both sides of the street.

    DETROIT, Mich. (WCMH) — A Detroit firefighter was fired for bringing a watermelon to the station as a welcoming gift.
    According to WJBK, Robert Pattison, 41, brought a watermelon as part of the tradition of new firefighters bringing gifts to help introduce themselves at their assigned stations.

    ROUND ROCK, Texas (KXAN) — A sixth case of Legionnaires’ disease tied to a Round Rock hotel has been confirmed by the Williamson County and Cities Health District.
    The SpringHill Suites by Marriott, at 2960 Hoppe Trail, was forced to close on Oct. 4 after five cases of the disease, which has symptoms similar to pneumonia, were reported.
    Lab results are still pending. The six affected have either stayed at the hotel or worked there since June 2017, a Health District spokesperson said.
