    Austin (KXAN) – Police arrested a man for attempted burglary Saturday afternoon after he smashed the windows of three cars, one after the other, in the same east Austin neighborhood.
    Court documents said the break-ins happened around 4 p.m. in the 1700 block of Pennsylvania Avenue near Kealing Middle School.
    A neighborhood resident alerted police after seeing the man, who police identified as Bernard Redo, 56, throw a rock through the window of a car, according to police reports.

    AUSTIN (KXAN) — Austin police say they have arrested two people in connection to a shooting that injured one person early Sunday morning.

    AUSTIN (KXAN) — Work is moving forward on a new planned “destination” spot in Austin.
    Thanks to a recent $750,000 grant, the first phase of the Holly Shores, Edward Rendon Sr. Park at Festival Beach master plan is underway.

    BROKEN ARROW, Okla. (AP) — Authorities say a 16-year-old student died after falling from the top of a stadium at the end of a high school football game in Oklahoma.
    Officer James Koch of the Broken Arrow Police Department said via email Saturday that the fall happened about 10 p.m. Friday at the Broken Arrow High School stadium as a game with a rival team was ending. Koch says the student was taken by ambulance to a hospital with undetermined injuries.
