    AUSTIN (KXAN) — The man who says he was shot in the neck while driving Sunday night tells KXAN he feels lucky to be alive and he wants to to see the person responsible brought to justice.
    Jedidiah Breeze said he was shot in central Austin Sunday.  He told KXAN that he drove a friend to a home of a man they knew in South Austin to sell a camera. Breeze explained that this man and his friend had been communicating about the camera over text or Facebook message, then planned to meet up.

    AUSTIN (KXAN) — The man police say brutally attacked his father with a screwdriver has been arrested by the U.S. Marshal’s Lone Star Fugitive Task Force.

    AUSTIN (KXAN) — Those looking to upgrade to high speed internet in Austin have a new option. Google Fiber is opening up sign ups for its service to a new area in the southern part of the city starting Tuesday.

  • Austin lands jumbo jet service to London

    AUSTIN (KXAN) — The Queen of the Skies will soon be a regular sight above Austin as British Airways upgrades the aircraft flying its nonstop route from Austin to London.
    The Boeing 747-400 will offer six more first class seats, 10 more business class seats and 116 more economy seats than the 787 Dreamliner currently serving the Austin market.

  • Students unhurt in minor school bus collision

    AUSTIN (KXAN) — A bus coming from Kealing Middle School was involved in a minor accident Monday afternoon, the Austin Independent School District reports.
    Austin Police say a bus carrying 44 students and a vehicle collided at 15th Street and North Lamar Blvd.
    The school district says no students were hurt in the incident. Austin-Travis County EMS was called to the scene to evaluate the students as a precaution.

    PLANO, Texas (AP) — A North Texas jail inmate and a female friend who acknowledged mailing him a greeting card soaked in liquid methamphetamine must serve more than four years in federal prison.
    Prosecutors on Monday announced the punishment for 29-year-old Amanda Lynn Mollison of Allen and 39-year-old Justin Chadwick Brown of Grand Prairie.
    Mollison in May pleaded guilty to providing contraband in prison. Brown pleaded guilty to possession of such contraband. Both received 51-month terms.
