    AUSTIN (KXAN) — A group of Girl Scouts gathered to do a service project Saturday. But they weren’t hosting a bake sale or picking up trash on the street. They were making 3D-printed prosthetic limbs for disabled children.

  • One dead in Williamson County ATV crash

    Williamson County, Texas (KXAN)– One person is dead following an ATV crash that happened around 12:40 p.m. Saturday. Williamson County Sheriff Robert Chody tweeted that deputies were working a one-passenger ATV accident in northern Williamson County.
    According to the county, only one person was involved in the crash. Because there is still an active scene, officials could not immediately release an exact location.

  • Cedar Park now has lowest property tax rate in 15 years

    CEDAR PARK, Texas (KXAN) — The city of Cedar Park says they have now lowered their tax rate for five years in a row, and this year’s rate is the lowest the city has seen in 15 years.
    The new 45.750 cents for every $100 of property valuation is one of the lowest property tax rates among other cities in the area, a statement from Cedar Park said.
    The rate represents a 1.25 cent decrease from last year’s 47 cents. City Council adopted the new rate at its Thursday regular meeting.
