  AUSTIN (KXAN) — Former Texas running back D’onta Foreman was arrested and charged with marijuana possession and an unlawful carrying of a weapon early Sunday morning on the University of Texas campus.
  According to a statement from University of Texas police, officers responded to a report of the smell of marijuana coming from three cars outside of the San Jacinto Hall dormitory.

  CALDWELL COUNTY, Texas (KXAN) — A driver and passenger died when the 18-wheeler they were in ran off the road, struck a tree and caught on fire in Caldwell County Sunday afternoon, said the Texas Department of Public Safety.
  It happened a little after 3 p.m. on FM 2001 between SH 130 and County View Road just northwest of Lockhart. No other vehicles were involved, DPS said.

• Woman falls 20 feet in Barton Creek Greenbelt

  AUSTIN (KXAN) — Emergency crews rescued a woman in her 20s after she fell about 20 feet in the Barton Creek Greenbelt Sunday afternoon, said Austin-Travis County EMS.

  AUSTIN (KXAN) — Austin police officers are at the scene of an eight-vehicle crash involving 18 people in the southbound lanes of the lower deck of North Interstate 35.
  Austin-Travis County EMS was called to the scene at 12:06 p.m. Sunday. Five are injured, including two with potentially serious injuries, and have been taken to the hospital.

  AUSTIN, Texas (AP) — A handful of Texas counties have found a way to profit from working with federal immigration officials in tracking and detaining immigrants in the country illegally.
  The Austin American-Statesman reports eight counties have joined a federal program that allows sheriff’s deputies to become certified immigration officers. Ten counties allow federal immigration agents to stash detained immigrants in their jails. Four counties do both.

  CALDWELL COUNTY, Texas (KXAN) – Multiple agencies battled a 10.2-acre wildfire in Caldwell County early Saturday, said Caldwell County Office of Emergency Management Chief Martin Ritchey.

  TEMPLE, Texas (KXAN) — Friends and family said goodbye during a funeral service Saturday for a father and daughter who died following a boating crash June 23 at Temple Lake Park.
