  LAKEWAY, Texas (KXAN) – A small plane crashed early Sunday afternoon after landing south-to-north at Lakeway Airpark, said Lakeway Police Chief Todd Radford.
  The pilot, who was the only occupant, was not hurt, he said.
  Just before 12:45 p.m., the plane – a Mooney 201 with four seats and a single engine – ran off the north end of the runway, through a golf driving range and across the 500 block of Flamingo Boulevard before striking a rock mailbox and a tree, Radford said.

  BROOKHAVEN, Miss. (AP) — Authorities in Mississippi say a suspect is in custody after eight people were killed in a shooting, including a sheriff’s deputy.
  Mississippi Bureau of Investigation spokesman Warren Strain said the shootings occurred at three separate homes Saturday night in rural Lincoln County. Two of the homes are in Brookhaven and one is in Bogue Chitto. The area is about 68 miles south of Jackson, the capital.

  RIVERDALE, Utah (AP) — A 39-year-old Utah woman has been arrested after she allegedly locked her two young children in her car’s trunk while she went inside a Wal-Mart store to shop.
