    AUSTIN (KXAN) — A 25-year-old baggage handler at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport stole “numerous” guns from inside passenger bags at the airport, the Department of Justice alleges.
    Between Nov. 29, 2016 and Feb. 2, 2017, officials say Ja’Quan Johnson of Austin traded some of the stolen guns for marijuana. Austin police have recovered seven of the stolen guns. Johnson has been charged with theft from an interstate shipment and possession of stolen firearms.

    AUSTIN (KXAN) — A homeless man will spend 45 years in prison for beating another homeless man to death with a paving stone. On Tuesday, Mark Kenady, 56, pled guilty to the 2015 murder of Clarence Gardner, 49.
    Gardner’s body was found in April of 2015 on a conveyor belt inside a southeast Travis County recycling center. According to court documents, a blood-stained limestone rock was found next to his body.

    Ex-Liberty Hill man accused of sexually abusing orphans
    AUSTIN (KXAN) — A man who previously lived in Liberty Hill is accused of sexually assaulting young girls who lived at an orphanage he ran in Haiti.
    The U.S. Department of Justice says Daniel John Pye, 35, would travel from Florida to Jacmel, Haiti on multiple occasions from 2008 to 2011 for the purpose of sexually abusing minors. According to court records, a person contacted the national Homeland Security Investigations tipline in April of 2015 and reported that Pye had sexually abus
