    Cyclist in critical condition after being hit by car
    AUSTIN (KXAN) — A man is in critical condition after he was hit by a car while on a bicycle in northwest Austin.
    The crash happened just after 3:30 p.m. on the northbound Research Boulevard service road, near McNeil Drive.
    The cyclist was transported to Round Rock Medical Center. Austin police tell KXAN the driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene.

    AUSTIN (KXAN) — A parade Saturday afternoon is honoring the Lake Travis High School football team after winning their sixth state title in the last 10 years.
    The “Parade of Champions” hosted by Lake Travis ISD and the city of Bee Cave will be held at the Hill Country Galleria.
    The parade will also celebrate the student programs in the district such as achievements in academic and fine arts in the last year.

    AUSTIN (KXAN) — Austin Police are investigating how a suspect handcuffed inside a patrol car was able to pull out a gun and shoot himself.
    Medics responded to the scene at Sixth Street and Lavaca Street around 1:17 p.m. Sunday.
    The man, who has not been identified, was sent to University Medical Center Brackenridge in critical condition. He had been arrested at the Barton Creek Square Mall for shoplifting and possession of a controlled substance.

    AUSTIN (KXAN) — A man is in the hospital after a shooting in downtown Austin Sunday afternoon.
    Austin police and medics responded to the scene at 6th Street and Lavaca Street around 1:17 p.m.
    According to Austin-Travis County EMS, the man was sent to UMC Brackenridge in critical condition.
    Austin police are telling nearby businesses via Twitter there is no reason to worry, or be concerned about safety.

    AUSTIN (KXAN) — Capital Metro is reducing fares for MetroRapid and MetroFlyer routes beginning Sunday, eliminating the Premium fare category, the agency said.
    All MetroBus, MetroRapid and MetroFlyer services will cost $1.25 for a Single Ride, $2.50 for a Day Pass, $11.25 for a 7-Day Pass and $41.25 for a 31-Day Pass. Prices for MetroExpress and MetroRail services will not be affected.

    AUSTIN (KXAN) — State Representative Dawnna Dukes has informed Travis County District Attorney Margaret Moore that she will not resign from her seat, despite announcing in September she would resign for medical reasons. Moore confirms to KXAN that Dukes’ lawyers called the DA’s office late Friday.
