• Russian plane with 92 aboard crashes into the Black Sea

  MOSCOW (AP) — A Russian plane headed to an air base in Syria with 92 people aboard, including members of the world-famous Russian army choir, crashed into the Black Sea on Sunday minutes after taking off from the city of Sochi, Russia’s Defense Ministry said. There appeared to be no survivors.

  CEDAR PARK, Texas (KXAN) –  Parents who lost their son in a car crash early Sunday morning are now searching for answers.

• Kitchen fire damages home in Central Austin

  AUSTIN (KXAN) — A fire in a kitchen damaged a home in Central Austin Saturday afternoon.
  It happened just before 5:30 p.m. at the 600 block of Theresa Avenue.
  Firefighters extinguished the fire to find that the house was empty when crews arrived.
  The Austin Fire Department says the fire caused a total of $125,000 in damages.

• 50,000 gallons of wastewater overflow repaired in Northwest Austin

  AUSTIN, (KXAN) — Austin water crews have repaired a 50,000 gallon wastewater spill caused by a lift station malfunction in Northwest Austin early Saturday morning.
  The overflow was discovered around 2 a.m. at the Lake Creek Lift Station at 8601 West Parmer Lane and by 9:45 a.m., crews were able to repair the lift station and remediate the spill.
  While the overflow has not affected the city’s water drinking supply, Austin Water officials urge the following:
