    DALLAS (AP) — A new border security approach promoted by the Texas Department of Public Safety has yielded at least one result: a bumper crop of traffic tickets.
    Traffic stops in Starr and Hidalgo counties on the Texas-Mexico border accounted for nearly 8 percent of all traffic tickets issued in Texas in September, an analysis by The Dallas Morning News found.     AUSTIN (KXAN) — The holidays are officially here and one of Austin’s most iconic holiday displays will once again usher in the season.

    AUSTIN (KXAN) — Austin/Travis County EMS has treated over two dozen people for K2 incidents since Friday.
    According to ATCEMS, medics transported 11 people between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday.
    On Friday, medics responded to a total of 14 K2 incidents between that same time period on near 6th Street and Neches Street. Another 12 people were transported into area hospitals overnight.

    AUSTIN (KXAN) — Austin/Travis County EMS has treated over 50 people for K2 incidents since Friday.
    On Sunday, ATCEMS treated a total of 17 patients. ATCEMS says they also transported 11 people on Saturday.

    Nephew of ex-NBA player Camby found dead on Texas property
    PEARLAND, Texas (AP) — Police in Texas have found the body of the 9-year-old autistic nephew of former NBA player Marcus Camby who went missing during the family’s Thanksgiving celebration on Camby’s property.
    Pearland Police Lt. Onesimo Lopez told the Houston Chronicle that the body of Marcus McGhee was found in a lake on Camby’s Houston-area property on Saturday morning.
    Lopez said there appeared to be no signs of foul play.

    Missing elderly woman found safe
    AUSTIN (KXAN) —The Austin Police Department has cancelled a silver alert for a missing woman after she was found safe.
    Police say 73-year-old Luccasia Cozart was last seen around 2 p.m. Saturday leaving her home on Sun Spirit Drive in Southwest Austin. She was headed to Central Market on South Lamar but never arrived.
    She was later found safe around 10:40 p.m.
    Police say Cozart has dementia and Alzheimer’s disease which created a concern for her welfare.
