    DEFUNIAK SPRINGS, Fla. (AP) — While his mother was preparing food in the kitchen, a 5-year-old Florida boy called 911 to invite law enforcement officers over for Thanksgiving dinner.
    Monica Webster of the Walton County Sheriff’s Office tells the News Herald that with all the bad calls they receive every day, this was a happy call. But young Billy Nolin’s family had no idea he’d invited guests to dinner.

    First weekend of Blue Genie Art Bazaar’s 16th year underway
    AUSTIN (KXAN) — Vendors opened up shop for the 16th annual Blue Genie Art Bazaar at a new location this year.
    Local artists and craftsmen opened their booths at the art show Friday. More than 200 exhibitors have set up shop for the next four weeks, with thousands of art pieces and handmade gifts for sale.
    The art show was founded in 2001 by the principals of Blue genie Art Industries. In that first year, it was a  small event with about 15 vendors.

    Suspicious bag at NW Austin Walmart contained clothing
    AUSTIN (KXAN) — Austin police have reopened the parking lot at a Walmart in North Austin after reports of a suspicious bag.
    Police say around 6:33 p.m. a man left the bag in the parking lot of the store located at 13201 North FM 620 near 183 and drove off.
    APD’s Explosive Ordinance Unit investigated the bag and discovered clothing in it and other personal items.

    Man dead after car hits tree in Central Austin
    AUSTIN (KXAN) — A man is dead after crashing his car into a tree Friday evening in Central Austin.
    Austin-Travis County EMS says it happened just after 5:20 p.m. in the 7100 block of North Lamar Boulevard near Airport Boulevard.
    The driver of the vehicle, a man in his 20s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
    Austin police say the man was speeding when he hit train tracks, swerved to avoid vehicles and hit a tree.
    All northbound lanes are shutdown on North Lamar as crews investigate the crash
