    AUSTIN, Texas (AP) — Kennedy McCoy ran for two touchdowns and No. 11 West Virginia’s defense withstood a final pass attempt into the end zone to earn a tough 24-20 win over Texas on Saturday that kept alive the Mountaineers’ Big 12 championship hopes.
    Skyler Howard passed for 269 yards and a touchdown for West Virginia (8-1, 5-1, No. 16 CFP), which allowed Texas running back D’Onta Foreman 167 yards rushing but kept him out of the end zone.

    HOOKSETT, N.H. (AP) — A New Hampshire lawmaker wanted by police for failing to show up for a court hearing was re-elected and arrested on the same day.

    Serial armed robbery suspect arrested
    AUSTIN (KXAN) — The Austin Police Department’s Robbery Unit is investigating a series of seven aggravated robberies of businesses in Austin over the past few days. Police released surveillance photos of the suspect Friday evening and he was later arrested.
    According to APD, the individual was recognized by someone which led to the suspect being pulled over on a traffic stop and arrested. APD said additional information will be released either this weekend or on Monday.

    AUSTIN (KXAN) — A woman was shot in the hand or the arm Friday night in East Austin.
    Officers say it was possibly a drive-by shooting on Stone Gate Drive, near Webberville Road, at around 8:31 p.m.
    Austin-Travis County EMS took the woman to University Medical Center Brackenridge. Police do not have any suspects at this time.
