    LEANDER, Texas (KXAN) — A Rouse High School student was arrested last week after allegedly stabbing his art teacher in the hand.
    At around 3:53 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 20, police were called to the nurse’s office at Rouse High in Leander. Officers arrived to find a teacher with two large cuts to her right middle finder and one smaller cut to her right index finger.     AUSTIN (KXAN) — Authorities are working to determine how a Travis County Sheriff’s inmate died while in custody last week.
    The Travis County Sheriff’s Office says 46-year-old Dennis Rogers was found unresponsive in his jail cell on Thursday, Oct. 20. The department says Rogers, a transient in the area, had just finished his lunch and was actually set to be released from jail when deputies found him.

    AUSTIN (KXAN) — Two Austin police downtown supervisors were suspended and demoted Monday over their review of the South by Southwest pepper spraying incident.
    Police Lt. Allen Hicks and Sgt. Scott Stanfield were suspended by Chief Acevedo after they failed to complete a review of the incident in which officer Cameron Caldwell pepper sprayed a handcuffed prisoner in the face on March 17 during SXSW.

    WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Texas (KXAN) — Williamson County Sheriff’s Deputies are looking for a man that robbed the Granger National Bank Monday morning.

    AUSTIN (KXAN) — An Austin man who was stabbed during a domestic violence issue a few weeks ago died from his injuries Saturday, according to the Travis County Medical Examiner.

    5 Austin City Council seats up for grabs
    AUSTIN (KXAN) — Five Austin City Council members who were voted into office during Austin’s inaugural single-member district election in 2014 are up for reelection.
    Because of the new 10-1 council setup that went into place a couple of years ago, members drew lots in 2015 to determine the length of their term in office.
