    AFD battles house fire in East Austin
    AUSTIN (KXAN) — Austin firefighters have knocked down a house fire in East Austin Saturday afternoon.
    The fire happened around 3:10 p.m. at the 2900 block of East 14th Street.
    Crews were able to clear the fire from the home just before 3:40 p.m.. No injuries were reported.
    No further information has been released at this time.

    AUSTIN (KXAN)- For the second time in two weeks, a Texas judge has announced departure from the Republican Party to become a Texas Democrat.
    Judge Lauren Parish of the 115th Judicial District Court which serves Upshur and Marion Counties, announced Friday she will be leaving the Republican Party and will now identify as a Democrat.     AUSTIN (KXAN) — The Securities and Exchange Commission has refiled civil fraud charges against Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton on Friday.
