    Amid uptick in visits this month, the Black Heritage Museum of Arlington still seeks a permanent home on Columbia Pike
    After moving from one temporary location to another on Columbia Pike, The Black Heritage Museum of Arlington has settled into its new digs — for now.
    The museum is currently located on the first floor of the Ethiopian Community Development Council building (3045B Columbia Pike), but it has bounced around the Pike ever since it transitioned from an online museum to a physical location in 2018.

    Development plans for St. Charles Catholic Church in Clarendon have descended into planning purgatory.

    Monday is the federal holiday best known as Presidents Day, though here in Virginia it’s officially George Washington Day.
    The holiday celebrating the first president’s birthday is prompting a number of local closures in Arlington.
    “Arlington County Government offices and services are operating on modified schedules for the Presidents Day Holiday on Mon., Feb. 19, 2024,” the county notes in a press release.

    NEW: Winter Weather Advisory issued for Arlington ahead of snow

    Arlington is under a Winter Weather Advisory starting tonight.
    Between 2-5 inches of snow is expected to fall, mostly overnight Friday into Saturday. The snow should be mostly done by sunrise, according to the Capital Weather Gang.
