    Man arrested for alleged May sexual assault in Arlington
    A man was arrested in connection with a sexual assault that allegedly took place in Arlington, Virginia, last month, according to the Arlington County Police Department.
    Julio Basurto, 42, of Arlington, has been charged with abduction and forcible sodomy. He was arrested on June 22 without incident after detectives reviewed evidence and interviewed witnesses, police said in a news release.

    A man well known as a local community activist has been charged with sexual assault.
    Julio Basurto, 42, was arrested as part of an investigation into a sexual assault that happened early in the morning of Sunday, May 21, Arlington County police said this afternoon.
    According to ACPD, Basurto picked up a woman from outside of a bar in Clarendon, then sexually assaulted her part-way through the ride.
