    Two winners have emerged from the debut of ranked choice voting in Arlington’s Democratic primary election for county board.
    Maureen Coffey and Susan Cunningham were announced as the first-ever winners of ranked choice voting in Arlington County.
    Coffey and Cunningham received the most votes amongst a group of six candidates also including Natalie Roy, JD Spain, Tony Weaver and Jonathan Dromgoole.

    The Washington Post says talks to build a new arena in the National Landing area, not far from Amazon’s HQ2, are underway — but are in the early stages.     JUST IN: Coffey, Cunningham appear to have won County Board primary
    Officially, the results are preliminary, but it appears that Maureen Coffey and Susan Cunningham will be the Democratic nominees for County Board.
    Arlington election officials this afternoon tabulated the results from early voting, primary day voting, and mail-in ballots received since, leaving Coffey and Cunningham on top of the six-way race for two open seats. Only 135 provisional ballots remain to be processed tomorrow and are unlikely to produce a different result.
