    A murder of crows is set to fly from Shirlington soon, which may mean less bird poop around a shopping center and apartment complex.
    Droppings are once again scattered over pavement patches, planters and awnings around the retail center.     Spring is coming early for one drinking water system, with impacts on the District, Arlington County and Fairfax County.
    Starting Monday, Feb. 20, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will begin a months-long annual Washington Aqueduct treatment.
    Until May 15, the water’s usual treatment will be swapped out for chlorine to ensure that area homes, businesses and schools have access to clean water — all coming from the Potomac River.

    Arlington and its neighbors are getting an early start on an annual tap water change.

    A man was shot and seriously injured in Courthouse early this morning.
    Initial reports suggest a man was shot in the lower torso in the parking garage of the Hilton Garden Inn on N. Courthouse Road, a block from Arlington County police headquarters, potentially as a result of a robbery.
    The victim was hospitalized with serious but non-life-threatening injuries, police said. Police are working to sort out the exact circumstances surrounding the shooting.
