  At least three children were injured Saturday during a motorcycle crash at a dirt track near Sutton, according to Mat-Su Borough officials.
  Ken Barkley, the borough’s deputy chief for emergency services, said calls came in from the track near Chickaloon Way and North Wright Way at about 11:30 a.m. It wasn’t immediately clear how the crash occurred, or how many people were injured in the incident.

  A brown bear was shot and killed in Sitka when it ate a homeowner’s dog Friday afternoon, a month after another bear was shot during a local attack on a dog.
  Alaska State Troopers were first called at about 3:30 p.m. Friday by the homeowner on Rudolph Walton Circle, according to an online trooper dispatch.

  A sport-utility vehicle crashed into a downtown Anchorage building early Saturday, but police said no injuries were reported in the wreck.

  A container ship that lost power following an engine fire near the Aleutian Islands was safely towed from the scene by tugboats early Saturday, following concerns that it might run aground near Akutan.
  U.S. Coast Guard Operations Specialist First Class Wesley Shipley said two tugs were able to take the Laura Maersk under tow early Saturday. The vessel was nearing Dutch Harbor by about 6 a.m.

• Juneau’s Housing First opening delayed until September

  A rockfall Friday evening has blocked part of the Glenn Highway between Eklutna and Matanuska.
  According to the Department of Transportation, the rockfall occurred near milepost 33 at the Knik River Access off ramp (as indicated by the red exclamation mark on the map).
