  A man dressed in a clown costume was arrested by Anchorage Police Sunday evening.
  Callers reported a man dressed as a clown was chasing people on the bike path near the Muldoon exit.
  Officers responded and took 23-year-old Matthew Brown into custody on an unrelated misdemeanor warrant.
  No further details were immediately made available.

  Otto Warmbier, a U.S. citizen who was freed last week after more than a year in North Korean detention, has died. Doctors said last week that he had “extensive loss of tissue” in all parts of his brain.

  TOKYO — Japan’s coast guard is investigating why it took nearly an hour for a deadly collision between a U.S. Navy destroyer and a container ship to be reported.

  For 44 years, people in Anchorage have come together to commemorate a horrific attack on the gay community.
  The Pride Memorial remembers 32 people killed when a fire ripped through the upstairs of a New Orleans’ French Quarter lounge. At the time it was the largest killing of gay people in history.

• Fairbanks Police officers shoot, kill armed man

  Officers with the Fairbanks Police Department shot and killed a man Monday morning after he allegedly confronted officers with a gun.
  FPD spokesperson Yumi McCulloch said in a statement, “Officers encountered an armed gunman that confronted the officers. Officers returned fire. The suspect died at the scene.”
  According to McCulloch, the shooting happened in a non-residential part of Fairbanks, shortly before 4 a.m.

  FAIRBANKS, Alaska (AP) — An Alaska man who set a car on fire as people were inside will serve seven years in prison.
  The Fairbanks Daily News-Miner reports 28-year-old Dexter Reedy reached a plea deal with the state Wednesday. He pleaded guilty to one count of first-degree arson. He received a nine-year sentence with two years suspended and three years of probation.

  Two men are dead after their fishing boat overturned near of Resurrection Bay.
  Alaska State Troopers say at 3:01 p.m. Saturday, Troopers in Seward were notified of a boat capsized outside of Resurrection Bay.
