Whicker: As Jared Goff struggles, Rams should help him
THOUSAND OAKS — Eleven games ago, the Rams weren’t so much a football team as a Marvel Comics reunion.
They flew, they leaped, they sprouted blades from their fingernails. They had 30 first downs in a 30-22 playoff win over Dallas. Todd Gurley and C.J. Anderson topped 100 yards rushing, the Rams had 273, nobody turned over the ball, and Jared Goff was not sacked.

The weather in Sacramento this time of year is rather cold. That’s particularly true at 6:30 a.m., when the sun isn’t even peeking out, and the Capitol is covered with fog and darkness.
But still, Assemblymember Sharon Quirk-Silva is bundled up, ready for a few quick laps around the statehouse.
