    A driver died after crashing into a utility pole on Beach Boulevard in Anaheim on Sunday night, Oct. 4, with his passenger left critically injured, police said.
    At around 7:30 p.m., officers responded to the single-car crash on Beach near Ball Road, Anaheim Sgt. Shane Carringer said.
    The driver died at the scene while the passenger, also a man, was taken to a hospital in critical condition, he said.
    The crash did not appear to be related to street racing, Carringer said.
