    Although steeped in tradition, Red Hill Lutheran Church has found ways to adapt during a pandemic that makes life anything but normal.
    When California closed places of worship four months ago in an effort to control coronavirus, Pastor Seth Britton gave his first remote sermon using a cellphone. Since then, the Tustin church has acquired cameras and sound gear for more sophisticated broadcasts.

    Coronavirus state tracker: Hospitalizations up first time in six days, 4,669 new cases and 41 new deaths
    Coronavirus-related hospitalizations in California increased for the first time in six days, by seven, bringing the total to 7,761, according to unofficial counts from state websites on Sunday.
    Hospitalizations are still 12% below the high of 8,820 reported in the state tracker July 23. Sunday’s tracker, posted online Saturday,  incorrectly reported the number of hospitalizations at 6,459. The correct number was 7,754, but still registered a decline in hospitalizations for that day.

    Trevor Crabb and Tri Bourne are talented beach volleyball players, but when they prepared to play for the championship of the third and final leg of the AVP Champions Cup on Sunday, they were looking across the court at top-seeded Phil Dalhausser and Nick Lucena.
    Since Dalhausser/Lucena won the first two legs of the series, they were favored to three-peat. But third-seeded Crabb and Bourne were up to the task and came away with a three-set victory by scores of 21-17, 15-21, 15-12.
