    Q. My wife was recently stopped by a police officer because she did not have a license plate on the front of her car. Of course, she told the police officer that she was not aware there was no plate there because her husband (me) takes care of the cars.     BEIJING — More than 1,700 Chinese medical workers have been infected by the new virus that has killed nearly 1,400 people and spread to other parts of Asia and as far as the U.S. and Europe, a senior Chinese official announced Friday.
