Chargers midseason grades: Offense, injuries to blame
A one-point win in Chicago against a top defense wasn’t enough. The Chargers needed to make a coaching change after eight disappointing games.
The Chargers ended their three-game losing streak after defeating the Bears last week and cut ties with offensive coordinator Ken Whisenhunt on Monday night. The move meant the Chargers were looking ahead to key games against the high-octane offenses of the Green Bay Packers (Week 9) and Kansas City Chiefs (Week 11).
