    As fires continued to break out Monday in Southern California, the Tick fire in Canyon Country and Santa Clarita entered its fifth day.
    By Monday, more than 500 firefighters had been able to raise containment of the blaze to 78 percent.
    The fire has charred more than 4,600 acres since it started Thursday and continues to threaten 10,000 homes, the Los Angles County Fire Department said Monday. The Tick fire has destroyed 29 structures and damaged 44.
