    SAN DIEGO — Julio Urias’ return from a 20-game suspension for violating MLB’s domestic violence policy will begin Thursday with an appearance for Class-A Rancho Cucamonga.
    MLB concluded its investigation into a May 13 incident involving the Dodgers pitcher and his girlfriend and handed down the suspension on Aug. 17. It included five games Urias missed in May.

    USC quarterback Jack Sears has entered the transfer portal, he announced on Twitter on Tuesday.
    The decision comes a week after USC announced Sears, a redshirt sophomore, would be the fourth-string quarterback entering the season. Sears had been given a shot to win the starting job, which went to returning starter JT Daniels.
