  A motorcycle rider was killed Saturday afternoon, Jan. 19, in a collision on the 57 Freeway on the Brea-Fullerton border.
  The crash was reported at 5:42 p.m. in the northbound lanes at the eastbound Imperial Highway onramp, the California Highway Patrol log said.
  All northbound lanes, except for the carpool lane, were still closed until 7:55 p.m. Northbound traffic had been taken off the freeway at Yorba Linda Boulevard.

  John Coughlin, a two-time U.S. pairs champion recently suspended from figure skating, died by suicide in Kansas City, Missouri. He was 33.
  U.S. Figure Skating released a statement Saturday and cited his sister, Angela Laune.
