    A gusty, chilly wind prompted organizers to cancel the annual Surf City Splash, but a handful of dippers took the frigid plunge into the Pacific anyhow to kick off the New Year.
    The event, which draws anywhere from 500 to 1,000 people, was called off early Tuesday morning due to the weather.

    The rest of the 2019 Rose Parade: Here’s what didn’t make it to any live TV broadcast
    When a float broke down toward the end of the 2019 Rose Parade, the delay threw the entrant lineup out of order and even caused television networks to cut short their broadcasts before all participants made their way down Colorado Boulevard.
    The live broadcasts managed to capture the parade’s closing show, featuring singer Anne Marie, but left out one marching band and two floats.
    KTLA has since added the “final entries” to its website.
