    Four individuals have been arrested in Venezuela in connection to the deaths of Luis Valbuena and José Castillo, according to the governor of the Venezuelan state in which the former major leaguers died.
    Julio Leon Heredia, the governor of the state of Yaracuy, announced the arrests via Twitter on Friday. The individuals were found with property belonging to Valbuena and Castillo, according to reports in Venezuela.

    Isiah Robertson, a four-time All-Pro selection as a linebacker for the Rams in the 1970s, died in a car accident in Texas on Thursday night at age 69, according to a report from NFL.com.
    The Rams used the No. 10 overall pick of the 1971 draft on Robertson, known as “Butch,” who quickly took over as a starting linebacker and was named the NFL’s defensive rookie of the year that season.

    The corpse of P-64, a male mountain lion also known as the Culvert Cat, was identified this week. Found with charred paws, his demise is believed to be the result of the Woolsey fire that swept through the Santa Monica Mountains and surrounding areas last month.

    President Donald Trump signed a bill Thursday, Dec. 6 to rename the post office in Orange after a local soldier who died in Iraq in 2004.
    The post office at 1075 N. Tustin St. will be renamed the “Specialist Trevor A. Win’E Post Office.”

    Report: Ken Whisenhunt won’t leave Chargers to be head coach at Georgia Tech
    COSTA MESA — Chargers offensive coordinator Ken Whisenhunt removed his name from consideration for the vacant head coaching job at Georgia Tech Thursday, according to an ESPN report.
    When he met with the media at his weekly news conference at the Chargers’ headquarters earlier in the day on Thursday, Whisenhunt confirmed that he had spoken with Georgia Tech athletic director Todd Stansbury about becoming the head coach at the Atlanta university.
