Porter Gustin expected to play in USC’s season opener after recovering from knee surgery
LOS ANGELES — When Porter Gustin was carted off Howard Jones Field on Aug. 7, there was fear that USC’s pass-rushing outside linebacker had suffered a potentially season-ending knee injury.
The results from a subsequent MRI came as some relief. Gustin had a partially torn meniscus in his left knee, requiring surgery, but no ligament damage. The setback was expected to sideline him for 2-5 weeks, a timeline that still put him in jeopardy of missing the first couple weeks of the season

There is private-business secrecy and then there is government secrecy — and in many cases the latter is wrong, because government is the people’s business.
