    Woman parking a Tesla crashes into building in Newport Beach; minor injuries reported
    A Tesla slammed into a building housing two businesses in Newport Beach on Monday, leaving a bystander with minor injuries, police said.
    The crash occurred just before 9:45 a.m. at 3601 Jamboree Road, according to Jennifer Manzella of the Newport Beach Police Department.
    The driver escaped injury, but a woman standing outside the building sustained cuts and scrapes and was taken to a local hospital as a precaution, Manzella said.

    A 1-year-old drowned in Mission Viejo Sunday evening, July 22 at the Sierra Recreation Center pool, according to city officials.
    First-responders were called shortly before 7 p.m. to the center, at 26887 Recodo Lane.
    “The child was attending the Sierra Recreation facility with parents and friends when the incident occurred,” says a statement from the city. “All efforts to revive the child were unsuccessful.”
